The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) will be issuing $38 supplemental Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) grants to vulnerable households who received a LIHWAP grant at any time while the program was operational (January–October 2022 and July-August 2023).

A vulnerable household is defined as households with residents over the age of 60, under the age of 5, and/or individuals with a disability.

The supplemental grant(s) will be sent directly to the water and/or wastewater provider, depending on which provider received the LIHWAP grant. For example, if a vulnerable household received a LIHWAP grant for both water AND wastewater, they will receive TWO supplemental grants. If they received a LIHWAP grant for water only, they will receive ONE supplemental grant for water.
