The Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is now open for 2026. Older Pennsylvanians and individuals with disabilities who have a household income up to $48,110 a year can apply for a rebate. The payment is made for the past year’s taxes, and will be given directly to the individual. This income limit is up more than $1,500 from last year’s level, so it is important to check if you are now eligible.
This program applies to homeowners or renters 65 or older, widows and widowers 50 or older, and individuals with disabilities 18 or older. The amount you can receive is based on your household income, with only half of your social security income included in this total. The table below shows the maximum amount you can get by income level.
The deadline to apply is June 30, 2026. You can either apply online here, or by mail.
