The 2026 National Celebration of Pro Bono is October 25-31, and we want to thank all our pro bono attorneys for the work they do. Over the last fiscal year, 40 of our pro bono attorneys closed a total of 131 cases. We also had 49 private attorneys accept 191 pro bono cases and 19 Judicare attorneys accept 249 cases for NPLS in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Our pro bono attorneys take an active role in CLE participation and advocacy for their clients. The work that they do makes a positive difference to our clients and is rewarding on its own. As Attorney Pandaleon, who has worked with us for 20 years, says:
“I am happy to be useful in helping North Penn's clients take full advantage of their right to due process. I have been practicing law for quite a while, and I have accumulated some skills that I hope can be useful to clients in obtaining their rights. Court proceedings are very stressful for clients, and I think I can alleviate some of that stress by sharing my time with them as they go through proceedings which are unfamiliar. I am glad to just say yes when North Penn refers a pro bono case to me. North Penn has given me great opportunities to help people."
