You Are Your Best Advocate: How to Represent Yourself in CHC PAS Appeals
In this webinar, advocates from the PA Health Law Project and Northwestern Legal Services will educate Community HealthChoices (CHC) participants and people who support them about Personal Assistance Services – especially about appeal rights when these services are denied by someone’s CHC Plan. Presenters will cover the basics of the appeal process and share tips for making a good case to help participants, their caregivers, and other supporters represent themselves in an appeal. Materials will also be shared to help you prepare an appeal, feel empowered, and get a good outcome!
A CHC Participant living in Northwestern PA will share their story about representing themself in a CHC PAS appeal and winning. There will be time for questions during the webinar.
